From Idea to Nine Years of Success

A product’s look is the first thing people notice. I wanted our pomade to stand out for all the right reasons, so I put a lot of thought into the label design. My goal was to create something that felt strong, timeless, and true to the Battle Born name. The label needed to look sharp on a shelf, grab attention online, and fit right in with the rest of our brand.

Visual Identity

Rugged, Authentic, and Impossible to Ignore

I went for a vintage Americana aesthetic that conveyed ruggedness, authenticity, and a commitment to quality. The dark color palette with gold accents added a touch of luxury and helped us stand out on the shelves.

Lessons from the Front Lines

Building a strong brand isn’t just about having a good logo. It’s about making sure every visual, from your packaging to your Instagram feed, feels like you. Here’s how I shaped the look and feel of Battle Born Grooming Co. so it stood out and made a lasting impression:

  • Brand identity that sticks: I created a look that’s bold, simple, and memorable. From our logo to our color palette, every detail was chosen to tell our story at a glance.
  • Packaging people want to pick up: Designed product labels and packaging that look sharp both online and in real life, so our stuff stands out on any shelf or screen.
  • Consistent visuals everywhere: Made sure every graphic, ad, and social media post matched our vibe, so customers always know it’s us, no matter where they find us.

Good design does more than just look good. It builds trust, sparks interest, and helps people remember your brand. If you want your business to stand out for all the right reasons, I’m ready to help you build a brand that people notice and remember.

Michael Boyd

I’m Gen X. That’s the generation I grew up in and the cloth I’m cut from. I believe in showing up every day and giving my best, even when it’s not easy. I’m steady and committed, and I don’t mind rolling up my sleeves when things get tough. The grey in my beard is just proof I’ve put in the years and learned what it takes to do the job right. If you want someone who sticks with it and doesn’t quit when it matters, let’s talk. I’d be glad to see if I’m a good fit for your team.
